Query the Database

The Trout Lake (TL) WEBB data is stored in an Oracle relational database as a series of related tables. As data is checked and verified, it is made available to the public through an interactive link to the Oracle database (see "Available Queries" below).

Data Access Policy

Use of the data in publications should acknowledge the Trout Lake WEBB project. A standard citation for our database is: Northern Temperate Lakes Water, Energy, and Biogeochemical Budgets program, U.S. Geological Survey, J.F. Elder, U.S. Geological Survey, Madison, Wisconsin.

We request that you provide John Elder, Dave Krabbenhoft, or John Walker (U.S. Geological Survey, 8505 Research Way, Middleton, WI 53562) with a copy of any manuscript using the data so that they may review and provide comments on the presentation of the data. We may include such manuscripts in our WEBB publications list.

If you use one of the Trout Lake WEBB data sets, send your name and address (including email address) so that you can be kept informed of updates and so that we can have a record of use of our database. You may send this information to John Walker, U.S. Geological Survey, 8505 Research Way, Middleton, WI 53562 (or email: jfwalker@usgs.gov).
